self reflection
I learned a lot of useful interesting things in LSC1503
which is English communication skills course. First thing I took with MR. Greg was
TED talk. I learned how to take an important point and summarise the speech by
my own words. Then I took the PSA which is Public Service Announcement. Teacher
gave us examples in youtube website and we should listen and write it as a
script. After that each student in class wrote his own PSA. Also, I learned in
class how to build my CV with the truth information, experiences and
qualifications.
Then I learned how to interview applicant. I learned how to ask
good questions. If I was the applicant I knew how to answer in right way. I learned
how to use the body language. I learned how to get good information by doing
researches and take this information to do presentations and how to attract the
attendees. Last thing, I learned how to do a digital story including a good speech
and right pictures.
All of these professional skills I learned make me able to
update my CV any time, and able to apply in jobs websites. Also, I can work at
HR departments doing interviews for people. I can apply for any job needs communication
skills, good writer or good presenter. In this course I learned how to use
Apple apps, like the final cut program. So in future I can work in media
sections using these programs for doing digital stories.
